FRAGMENTS OF A LIFE di H. Pinter

FRAGMENTS OF A LIFE
(Frammenti da una vita)
4 one-act plays by Harold Pinter
Director: Roberto Marafante
Cast: Stefano Marafante, Maria Sansonetti

“Victoria Station” “A Slight Ache”, “Night”, “Family voices” are four one-act plays presented in a single show to depict surrealistic and melancholy fragments of the life of a couple beginning with their acquaintance and ending with their old age. The set has the shape of a cake and the actors go up to a different level at each play, but each level also represents a different stage of their life.
Reviews:
“The provocative matching chosen by the director is represented by his decision to use two actors for all the plays, thus forcing them into the narrow spatiotemporal dimension of a single show.”
Emilia Costantini – Corriere della Sera, 9th January 1988
“”… the audience will see another of the many ways in which Pinter can be staged, a light show, which doesn’t take itself too seriously, even if it has been very seriously analysed and prepared in every detail.”
Antonella Marrone – L’Unità, 9th January 1988
“… and deserved cheers and approval.”
Lucio Romeo – Il Tempo, 7th April 1990
“Interesting the ingenious set represented by a pyramidal heap of furniture and household goods”
Paolo Lucchesi – La Nazione, 23rd April 1988
“Night would deserve the palm of quotation for originality and synthesis and its biting reading key.”
Rodolfo di Giammarco – La Repubblica, 7th Janaury 1988
“A tense and appealing show, entertaining and disquieting.”
Franco de Ciuceis – Il Mattino, 29th January 1988
