Why has Gloria Vernel, popular TV showoman, suddenly disappeared? Which secret does she hide? Her neighbour, great fan of her, and her teenager son will discover the truth, but they will pay a lot for it. A complex and absorbing story, with the rhythms of a “noir” movie. A crafty mixture of comedy and drama, showing the tipical problems of our society and the difficulty to tell the truth from the false, what is right from what is wrong. The boy will be very affected by this experience, which will be an occasion to grow up and to ponder over his doubts and the obscure sides of himself.

It is a particular show which can be acted either in a theatre or somewhere else. In Italy it was staged in different museums, creating a very original tour for the visitors. It is a journey, or better, a guided tour in a museum. The guide is a strange demoniac character who shows to the visitors what is left of the great feelings of man, reduced now to banal and everyday characters. These “sublime evidences” are looking for someone who will take care of them, giving them back the greatness and dignity which they used to have. The audience will look at great myths of the past: from Elene of Troy to Ulisses and all of them will try to win at least one visitor, but the demoniac game will stop and the characters will go back to the shadow, waiting for a new audience who will understand them.

Andrea and Laura belong to that kind of couple which is an “endagered species” like the wolf. He is a painter, who has to draw cartoons to earn a living. She is an actress on the verge of success who wants a “normal” life. They have been together for many years, but now their marriage is breaking up. After a harsh quarrel, he goes to a cottage in the mountains to find inspiration for his cartoons. She reaches him, disguised as various characters in order to enliven him. But the result will be sinister and definitive and they will find themselves in a strange Paradise.

It is the tale of the sad and lonely life of Paolina Leopardi, the sister of the famous Italian poet Giacomo, told by Paolina herself just before dying. The shadow of her brother is with her and helps her to go through her whole life “useless and meaningless” according to her own words. The result is the portrait of an extraordinary woman, a poet herself, wildly romantic, whose house becomes her prison and who strongly pleads for women’s freedom. In the end her beloved brother will help her to face the ultimate goal and she will die listening to the only poem her brother wrote for her. Free at last.

ciao roberto, sono il dir.artistico del laboratorio teatrale e compagnia teatrale “progetto idra”, associazione non profit di massa e cozzile (pt). siamo rimasti incantati dalla comicità de “gli angeli di charlie” e l’abbiamo usato come saggio del corso avanzato della nostra scuola di teatro. quello che voglio chiederti, dato che lo spettacolo ci è venuto bene (considera che abbiamo selezionato 2 delle migliori ex allieve e aggiunto i due migliori attori titolari della nostra compagnia e professionisti) è se possiamo portarlo in giro in alcune rassegne teatrali. ci occorrerebbe quindi una liberatoria. un’altra cosa: come ben sai quando si mette mano ad un testo è necessario spesso fare delle modifiche per esigenze varie, ma anche perché il regista divertendosi con un testo così brillante si fa prendere la mano… ecco essendo toscani non siamo riusciti ad evitare l’aggiunta di qualche battuta; oppure, per quanto concerne la voce di charlie, l’abbiamo messo in mezzo al pubblico mentre parla al cellulare con le attrici che ovviamente non lo vedono…
ti chiedo se puoi farci avere una tua sollecita risposta sia che tu ci dia il consenso sia che no. ovviamente ci farebbe piacere conoscerti di persona… ma per questo possiamo parlarne poi… ciao e grazie marino f.arrigoni.
